very slow connexion only on download

Hi,

I've installed an openVpn server on an ubuntu server. I have différents profiles for différent cases of utilisation. (proxy, vlan, tunneling...)

I have 100Mbps connection and no problems without vpn. (tested with bandwidth speedtest).

When i use the vpn, i have only 70kbps down and a normal 60Mbps up. And this really 70Kbps UP (no error).

From my vpn server i can download at more than 1 Mo /s. So i don't think my server is limited in download.

A quick schemas :

My computer <--- lan 100mbps ---> Proxy <--- 1Gbps ---> {WWW} <--- 100mbps ---> My VPN Server
<--------------------- Vpn Tunnel to my server ----------------------->

Someone may have an explication.. ?

I have install a squid on my server to test with ssh tunnel (putty) instead of openvpn and i have the same issue... server is not overloaded at all. cpu < 5% and 0.0 on load average.

I make a test from my house... full speed ! I think the problème comes from the network where i work. So no problem from openVpn like i thought.
