New member posting messages?

Hi, I posted a message yesterday afternoon, and the forum system told me it had to wait for moderator approval. Is this always the case, or just for new members? I still haven't seen my message, and am not sure if there is a problem or not?

Yes that's one way to prevent spammers from posting random post with their links...
