OpenVPN N2N setup with IPfire

Post by gian » Wed Jan 11, 2012 10:56 am

hello All,

I have three sites I would like to connect, with Ipfire gateways.
Site A shall be the OpenVPN server, site b and c shall be clients.
I need to be able to ssh hosts or view ip-cameras on all sites.

I set up a tunnel between A<->b, and can ping the gateways but nothing else.

The two gateways have a router between them and the internet, like this:

internet <- public ip [router] 192.168.0.2 <-> 192.168.0.1 [ipfire] 192.168.1.1 -> LAN

Somehow, I think that giving the ipfire gateway the public ip address is wrong, but the tunnel is up anyway.

Can someone tell me where I'm wrong?

thanks for reading,
-Gian

i cant help you out with ipfire but

if you configure openvpn manually to create lan-to-lan you need

ccd file named after the client cert with the iroute statement,
add route directive inside your server config
enable ip forwarding in both (client/server) pcs.
