Infinite looping by openvpn server while trying to connect

Post by rajkwrites » Thu Nov 03, 2011 6:02 pm

Hi,

When I try to connect to a openvpn server from its web interface (https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx), it presents me with a alert window containing the message shown below:

-------------------------------------------------------------
OpenVPN - Warning
The server xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx has an UNTRUSTED SSL certificate.
[ ] Don't ask again
Allow the connection to proceed? [ Yes ] [ No ]
--------------------------------------------------------------

I check the "Don't ask again" checkbox and then click on "Yes" button. I expect the connection to proceed (since I gave my consent). But what happens is that this alert window keeps coming back again and again - asking me "Allow the connection to proceed?". Every time I click yes and check "Don't ask again" - but it keeps coming back on an infinite loop.

Because of this infinite looping, I can't connect to the openvpn server. I have closed and reopened my chrome browser, but the behavior hasn't changed. Also I tried it from other browsers and observe the same behavior.

Has anyone observed this kind of behavior? Does anyone know why it behaves this way and how to fix this problem?

Thanks for your insights into this issue.

The best way is to regenerate certificates and sign them.
