Cannot ping server when connected from mobile phone

Post by teb76 » Fri Aug 12, 2011 6:24 pm

Hi to all,
hoping to be in the right section of the forum.
I configured my vpn having the server at my home on a windows 7 machine, behind a router, with a dynamic IP address but using a dynamic dns dyndns.org
I first tried to connect from my laptop (windows xp) via mobile tethering and all has gone ok, all works fine, I see the server and all of the rest of the machine connected to the server lan.
The problem is when I try to connect directly from the mobile phone, using openvpn for android. The connection is made without problem (I see from both the server and the client logs) but I'm not able to ping the server, nor to see any machine.
Someone can guide me throug solve this issue?
Thank you in advance

Solved, it was a well-known issue installing openvpn on android, it needs to properly point to the symilink of the busybox ifconfig and route
