certificate to be certified until !?

Post by mikerakina » Fri Jun 10, 2011 11:15 pm

Hello ,
I have successfully set up openvpn , but I’m having a problem setting the time for which a certification will be certificate for a new person.
I have searched and I have found , that I need to edit the openssl , which I did and set a date , but things didn’t work since when I’m trying the build-key command , I’ m still getting the message , Certificate is to be certified until … (3650 days).
I have practically edited everything, the vars ,even the pkitool in search for a way to edit this message but to no avail. So please if anyone can post how to set the certificate to expire for let’s say 10 days , when using the command ./build-key anyone , please do.

Thanks for your time and help.

edit the 'vars' file and set the KEY_EXPIRE variable to the number of days the certificate should be valid.
