Can we run the new version “OpenVPN 2.2-beta5 -- released on 2010.12.03” on x64 (64 bit) system?

I have no idea which operating system you are referring to. But in general, yes, that should work out just fine. As far as I know, it should also not be any problem running a 32bit version of OpenVPN on a 64 bit Windows as well. We don't have specific 64 bit versions of OpenVPN for Windows yet.
