Hey guys, I am trying to get OpenVPN setup on my home network, and I am having problems. I have DSL. It's a dynamic IP address, and my ISP is Qwest. I use No-Ip service, which gives me a domain (i.e. myserver.server.com) which everyone can connect to. Then I just open the ports on my router and point them to the internal static server IP (192.168.0.175).
On my home network I have a server (Windows 2003 Server) and multiple clients (Windows 7, WinXP, Mac). My friends and I play games/sims and I always host the sessions, using my server. This works for most titles, but Falcon 4 is a pain in the butt. I cannot, for example, have Falcon running on the dedicated server, and connect from my Windows 7 gaming PC. I was able to get it running using OpenVPN, but that was a couple years ago and my IT buddy (who is long gone) did it for me.
As a first test, I wanted to get the server and one client (my gaming PC) connected via OpenVPN. Then I'd creates certs for my friends. The server seems to work. I connect and get green lights. But when I try to connect from my Windows PC, I get a message telling me the connection was refused, and that I have to either remove the --remote option or use the --float option. I looked around but I cannot find how to use the float option.
Do I need to do any sort of bridging to get this working? I used 2.0.9 for the test because this is what was used a couple years ago.
Any ideas where to start on this?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Help setting up OpenVPN....
hi there,
please post both server, client configs first..
to use float simply add it inside .ovpn file to your client.
cheers,
