OpenVPN Client Connect and GUI or convert config

Hello,
I only used the OpenVPN GUI in the past, but now I want to connect to a TP-Link Router with OpenVPN and I have to use the Connect Client instead the GUI Client.
Should I use the GUI Client and Connect Client parallel?
Or can I convert the Connect Config file to GUI Config file?
