DNS issues with Chrome OS client

I have finished my ordeal with slitting ovpn into chrome os compatible files, but when I tried to go to a webpage, I got
1) warning - cannot contact gateway
2)Cannot resolve dns
I'm using vpnbook usa1 - 25000, and I have had minimal trouble after splitting the file. I have already tried using google name servers along with the auto-name servers
