Hi there,
Im new on OpenVPN. Before using OpenVPN i was using myfritz and it was working fine for my behaviour.
Sadly we lost our Internet connection some time ago ( the whole street went down ) and as it was fixed myfritz stoped working.
The actual Situation is:
- OpenVPN on Vmware ( internal IP .205 )
- Fritzbox with open ports on 1194 UDP and 443 TCP directed to .205
- Dual Stack connection with IP V4 address and disabled IP V6
If my phone is in the same network ( wifi on ) i can connect do the VPN Server and the device is shown as connected.
If the phone is on 4G and i try to connect it says:
- Connecting to [192.168.1.205]:1194 ( which i think is correct because its the IP from the VPN Server )
- Server poll timeout, trying next remote entry...
-EVENT:RECONNECTING
- EVENT: RESOLVE
- contacting 192.168.1.205:443 via TCPv4
- EVENT WAIT
- Server poll timeout, trying next remote entry...
-EVENT:RECONNECTING
- EVENT: RESOLVE
Does anyone of you has an idea how to solve this problem?
Thank you.

Hi,
Forget so say that there is ( mostly ) no entry in the Server Log when trying to connect via 4G. Sometimes i get an entry with the public IP from the phone with no other entrys as Date / Time and external IP.

Correct any errors in your server log.
If there are no connection attempts in the server log then your client cannot find your server .. Public IP ..

Thanks for your reply.
What i dont understand, while trying to connect from 4G via the DDNS Service the IP from OpenVpn server is shown in log file from the mobile phone.
Is there an option at the Server where i can see any connection attempts? The Log on the GUI isnt really helpfull because it only shows Connections, Logons and so on, but no "deep logs" ( dont know how to say, hope you understand )
