Unable to start OpenVPN Services

I have a freshly configured OpenVPN v2.8.6 server. We're set all the options, imported certificates, configured the firewall rules. If I click "Start VPN Services" on the "Status Overview" page, it says "VPN services started" but if I refresh the page they are not in fact started and I'm not able to connect to the VPN. I must be missing something simple, but I'm not sure what it is. Any help is appreciated.
