I have openvpn running on pfsense, the connection works fine and i have no issues in that regard. I have set "ipv4 local network" 192.168.1.0/24.
I am not forcing traffic through VPN and don't allow communication between VPN clients.
A local desktop on the same subnet can connect to smb share through \\192.168.1.101\Files and this works just fine.
When i am connected to VPN and try to map network share i get the error "Can't access this shared folder because your organization's security policies" which appears to be a windows 10 issue. We fix that by allowing insecure guest logins, which also had to be done on the other clients for them to be able to connect, which on the local subnet works fine.
But over the VPN it is not working, no matter which setting i use that works on lan, as soon as i connect to VPN it stops working even tho i am allowing the VPN subnet to have access to the network share. On the NAS i have "All ip's" allowed from remote subnet, and I have also tried entering the subnet/24 for both lan and vpn subnet and it is still not working. I am at a complete loss, but I do suspect that it is VPN related.
There's a different topic in this sub forum about the same issue, which is one of the few threads I have found about this. I have read something about push route or something like that, but I do not know if that is what I am looking for.
