Win10 - Sharing Connection to Ethernet

Post by patosupershow » Wed Nov 06, 2019 5:01 am

Hey all!

Let me explain my scenario as better as possible:
- OpenVPN server mounted on a VPS that is 100% fine.
- OpenVPN client on Windows 10 (Desktop computer) that is 100% fine. Connected on eth1 to my own router (ISP provided, non flasheable)
- Xbox One connected to Desktop computer directly via Ethernet (eth 2): due latency reasons, I was testing different VPN solutions and what I did, is to share directly the Connection created on Windows side, to the Console ethernet.

What I'm looking for:
A) Tunelling only the Xbox One through the VPN (¿sharing connection to eth2?)
or
B) Prioritize use of eth1 (¿specifying metrics maybe?) on Desktop, so eth2 would go through OpenVPN without any other traffic.

Im using only the GUI to set eveything up (I'm kinda new to this), and tried different stuff, like setting off the 'Should client Internet Traffic....' to NO and set everything manually but I couldnt make it work. Also tried using the VPN device as gateway without success.

When I connect the Client on my Desktop, all the data is tunelled through the VPN, and I'm not able to change the priority though Windows, and didn't find any way to do it through CMD.

Maybe it's something basic but I'm totally lost right now.
Thanks in advance
