Chasing off a new user?

So, I imagine this will not make a dent in anyone's brain. But, I thought that openvpn was open source. I asked a question about configuration and my topic was locked with a statement that this forum is for the open source version and if I'm using blah blah blah blah, I should get support from them...

This is why people hate us. So, no help from the openvpn "community". I'll go search the void for help somehow. Thanks a lot!
