Bad LZO decompression header type: 251

Post by amaclellan » Wed Dec 05, 2018 5:40 pm

Hello Experts,

My boss uses her laptop from home to remote connect to my company network. Since last two weeks she is unable to connect. Every time she opens OpenVPN GUI, it gives her an error "Bad LZO decompression header type: 251". Did some google search, and many suggested to change "comp-lzo" to "comp-lzo no" in the .ovpn file. It did not seems to work. I was just wondering if you can help me with that.

Hi, i'm not expert, just to inform you.
LZO decompression is not use now because of a known security issue (recent).

Are you uptodate with the soft?

Have you updated some dll?

Does the server where you connect disable LZO capacity?
