[Solved] VPN Provider: Android connect closed by system bug?
Android connect has a persistent state in the notification bar and should not be closed by the system. I've noticed though that it does periodically get closed. I've also noticed that this seems to repeatably happen when my phone switches between WiFi and cellular data. I'm on a OnePlus One running marshmallow, but have noticed this at least since lollipop. I've tried adjusting memory settings for garbage collection and it still happens and the fact that I see it happen on the switch from WiFi to cellular and visa versa makes me think this is a bug rather than a memory issue.

Re: Android connect being closed by system- bug?
Edit: I meant OpenVPN Connect.
I emailed my vpn about the issue and this was their response:
Me:
"When my phone switches between WiFi and cellular data it kills my connection to the vpn. Looking at the log from openvpn it's showing an error "AUTH: Received control message: AUTH_FAILED,You are already logged in - access denied", which then triggers openvpn to shut down. I'm assuming the issue is that since my account allows a single device to be logged in at a time, when my phone tries to reconnect it thinks it's a different device and blocks me from reconnecting. This could be dangerous if it happened when I was on public WiFi. Is there a way to fix this issue?"
Customer service:
"The issue is not caused by the fact that you only have one connection at a time, the app should acknowledge you being disconnected and allow you to connect again. Actually, this might even not be the reason for which you get that error, might be something that we noticed on the openVPN for win gui also, the openVPN app sending to parallel connection towards our server, one of them fake, and the real connection couldn't go through as the system was busy with the fake one."
Customer service suggested reinstalling openvpn or using their app. Reinstalling didn't work but their app seems to not have this problem, even with the openvpn protocol selected.
