UDP send error: send: invalid argument

Post by varazir » Tue Jun 02, 2015 7:18 am

Hello,

I'm having problem with above error msg on my Nexus 5.
I had it running my OpenVPN AS server and now when I'm running pfSense box.
It happens over Wifi and 3G.

Is there a way to extract the logfiles from the app so I can look at it and see if there are any pattern when it happens?

TIA
Daniel

I'm running into the same issue. I have a Raspberry Pi configured to be my OpenVPN server and I can connect through WiFi fine, no disconnects. If I switch to 4g, the OpenVPN connects. If I then try to RDP into a machine or browse the internet, I notice my 4g connection icon just disappears and then comes back and OpenVPN reconnects. The log will then show the "UDP send error: send: invalid argument". I noticed running OpenVPN over 3g, the disconnects don't happen as often, but they will happen eventually.

Client: Sprint LG G3 running OpenVPN Connect Android (stock rooted ROM)
Server: Raspberry Pi B OpenVPN server

Well, I went ahead and upgrade by LG G3 to Android version 5.0.1 and that seems to have resolved my issues with this problem. Previously, I was on Android Version 4.4.4 and when I was on Sprint's 4GLTE, I was always get disconnects and my connection would reset completely. Now since the upgrade, OpenVPN has been solid.
