OpenVPN Connect: Please compile a version of this with TAP

It is my understanding that TAP can work if you have root access on your device. I have used the file here http://jjjjango.blogspot.com/2013/07/ho ... inary.html but it is old and buggy. If some smart person could compile a new version of OpenVPN Connect with TAP ability that would be awesome.
