When changing NIC(?), have to restart client.

It seems as if, when I establish a connection over WiFi, then I move to 4G/3G/etc., I have to reconnect. This is... well, irksome. Especially when I have both "Continuously retry" as my connection timeout, and "Reconnect on reboot" set. Seems that "reconnect when I switch interfaces" would be a fairly logic extension of these two. Any chance I'm just being stooopid, and there's a config option I'm missing?
