Why do I have to tell OpenVPN that I trust it all the time?

Post by BobAGI » Sun Jun 08, 2014 5:25 pm

Every time I need to open a VPN tunnel to my network back home and I start OpenVPN Connect it first pops up this stupid dialog asking me to checkmark that I "trust" this application....
Whoever came up with that?
It serves no purpose because the only time one wants to use the app is when connecting to VPN and in that case what criteria would cause a refusal to "trust" the application????
At the very minimum it should have a checkbox "do not show this again" to stop the nagging...

Use VpnDialog Xposed module. Allows you to bypass this

Is that an Android App or what?
How exactly can I use it?

Yes. But it required that your phone is rooted. You install the xposed framework, and from within the app you can download a bunch of different enhancements for your Android phone eg. Theming, etc.

The xposed module I mentioned allows you to disable the dialog for all vpn apps like tor orbot, openvpn, openvpn connect and other third party apps on the market. It is handy, but you need to be rooted.

So this dialog is somehow common to a number of VPN apps?
I thought that it was an OpenVPN Connect dialog.....

And my phone is not rooted and I don't want to do that either....
