Hello,
I need to connect to an OpenVPN VPN on a cloud-hosted server. I am running Windows 8.1 Professional on the PC from which I am to connect to the VPN.
I downloaded the OpenVPN GUI Windows installer for both 64-bit and 32-bit (http://openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html), but when I double-click the .exe file to launch the installation process, it just refuses to launch. The file won't even open.
Would it be possible to know if OpenVPN supports Windows 8, and else what are my alternatives to connecting to my VPN? I know that there are experimental installers for Windows 7 and above, but it appears that they might potentially cause BSODs, which I need to avoid at all costs. Otherwise, are the non-experimental installers working for Windows 7?
Thanks,
Jeremie

Re: OpenVPN GUI Installer not working on Windows 8.1 Pro
I solved my issue. I had an antivirus running and probably some software that interfered with the installer. After doing some clean-up work on my computer, it worked fine. Now everything is solved.
