Establish VPN conn. before another application is launched?

Hi,
I have installed OpenVPN Connect version 1.1.13 on Android 4.4.2 device. I have successfully imported .ovpn file and connection VPN works fine.

Now the following actions have to be done manually:
1. Start OpenVPN Connect application.
2. Click on Connect button (password is already saved in program).
3. Wait that OpenVPN connection is established.
4. Click on in house made Android application that connects to http server using OpenVPN connection (http server uses SSL/TLS, you know httpS).

Questions:
a) Is there a way I can do all of above steps automatically on single click? I need to do this because application is going to be accessed by non technical end-users and doing all of 4 steps is going to be too much, but single click is acceptable.
b) Is there a way to run first 3 steps only if user is accessing application server from internet? Like for example if SSL connection can be established with httpS server, then skip first 3 steps and just do the step 4.
