Everything works except Samba client on IOS ????

Hi

Have searched and asked on other forums, no hit.

Problem connecting to Samba servers from IOS.
Can somebody give me an advice please ?

VPN Server=Asus RT-AC68 Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.40_beta3
with one openvpn server from the box, running in instance 1

2 pcs Samba servers, above and a STB VU+ Solo2 with Blackhole image.

have exported ovpn file and added auth-user-pass to it.

Windows XP latest openvpn.net client No problem

Android tablet No problem
however I was forced to change port in my SMB app from 445 to 139
but only for Samba on the STB

Ithing: Can connect to my LAN and access web GUI:s of above devices that Samba resides on.

?? BUT I can not access the shares on either of them ??
Have tried several SMB app:s

How come, suggestions ???

Sorry, don't have the skills for that.

My IOS devices has an APP that is functional on the LAN, with a saved entry (IPadress).
This entry also used when connected with openvpn.
So I suppose smb traffic is getting through from SMB-client APP.
But somehow not getting through with connected tunnel

Same sceanario is working on android and XP

(this is as well one of my 2 sambaservers)

But as I said 100% functional for everything else then IOS,
where I get stuck on Samba, but not with http....

OK thanks,
I try oldschool hub first and wireshark on XP.
Thereafter perhaps on STB or router if I find a sniffer avaiable.
Weird is that I tried 3 different app's they all say "no network"
in different words when trying connnect to Sambaservers.
So I primary atm suspect the apps, because Safari is functional.

As a matter of facts I'm using tun
because trying to do a simple/one-config crossplattform enviroment.

My config is functional in XP and android
and as you say I'm using IP adress to server, not broadcasts.

and tap is not supported in my IOS client "OpenVPN Connect"

I have however found my oldschool hub going to test it in a couple of days.

My "issue" is NOT a shortcoming in IOS OpenVPN Connect client

it's related to SMB IOS APP's

However I would appreciate tap support in IOS OpenVPN Connect client
