Additional IP address for VM from server?

Post by spaigy » Thu Jul 11, 2013 8:56 pm

Hi Folks,

I'm trying to set up a system whereby OpenVPN connects from a Windows 7 host. I'd then like to start a VMWare machine (Windows XP) on that host, with a bridged networking adapter to the TAP-Win32 interface. Within the VM, I'd like to set the adapter to DHCP and receive an IP address from the VPN Server.

Questions:
--> What would be the best way of achieving this?
--> My solution is to use a separate DHCP server to assign IP addresses to clients - however how do I stop the OpenVPN server dishing out an IP address on connection?

Thanks!

Craig
