Using HTTP proxy within VPN

Post by isaharray » Wed Mar 20, 2013 5:34 pm

Hello!
I have successfully installed and configured OpenVPN Connect with VPN on demand on my iPad. It works well, but there is a problem with proxy. I need to set up Safari to use proxy if VPN is connected. So I configured it in iPhone Configuration Utility (Proxy setup - Manual, address and port). VPN connects well, I can ping IP-addresses in my network, but Safari doesn't take this proxy settings.
But, if I specify this settings in Wi-Fi params - it works!
Any ideas how to make Safari use VPN proxy settings?

Hi, on the openvpn server you must set the commands to send all traffic through the openvpn, I did this test and on safari I checked my IP address on any whatsmyip site and indeed I was going through the tunnel, I configured the openvpn app to go through to proxy...
