Where does this post go? TAP Driver support

Post by the1onewolf » Tue Feb 19, 2013 1:24 am

Hi,
I've just recently discovered OPENVPN and I've installed the client on my machine.
I'm not exactly sure where this post is supposed to go. I don't see any sections where I can ask about open vpn client/driver related problems.

I'm having some trouble with the tap drivers.
Everytime I restart my machine I'm forced to reinstall the tap driver in order for my ip address to be changed correctly.
When I try to connect using openvpn, everything will proceed smoothly and the icon will even turn green and tell me that my ip address is 10.xx.xxx something. However when I check my ip (ipchicken) I still see my original isp assigned address. Manually reinstalling the tap driver fixes this.
I'm on the lastest version of openvpn and I have enabled administrator access for everything.

My machine is running win 8 x64.
Thanks very much and sorry again for not knowing where to post this.
