configuration import via URL ?

Post by kos » Thu Jan 31, 2013 1:29 pm

hi openvpn team

thank you very much for the great release of the android & ios apps! i love them!

is there a way to import the certificate directly by going to a website? e.g. a "service-url-scheme" like ovpn://example.com/myfile.ovpn that i could use to import the configuration directly instead of downloading it first to the phone and then importing?

greets
KoS

While we don't currently support a custom URL scheme, both Android and iOS clients do declare an association with .ovpn files.

Sorry, but it is not work for me on Android.
If I receive .ovpn file on e-mail the client does not recognize it.
If I type http://<my server/config.ovpn in my browser, I see the file content on the page.
How can I import .ovpn file without saving to sdcard?

Thanks,
Samu
