How to get openVPN Icon on Windows 8

Hi guys, I downloaded openVPN and it works fine, but my problem is that the icon does not always show up on the bottom right of my computer. Sometimes I right click on "openVPN GUI" on the Start screen and click on Run as Administrator, and that makes the icon appear, but most of the time the icon doesn't come up, therefore I cannot connect. I have a computer that has windows 7 and the icon is always there, but on my windows 8 computer is where I'm having problems. Can anyone help?
