I can't install OpenVPN 2.4.9

I can't install OpenVPN 2.4.9 on Windows 10
I get the following error

An error occured while installing the TAP driver

Can anyone help?

This sounds like you have installed the RC versions and now have some corrupted registry problems.

I would try completely uninstalling all OpenVPN and TAP/wintun drivers and reboot.

I have installed all OpenVPN software from my computer including the TAP and Wintun drivers then I restarted it.
Upon installing OpenVPN 2.4.9 i received this error.

TAP-Windows 9.24.2-I601 Setup
An error occurred installing the TAP device driver.

What is going on? Please help.

You can try the Powershell script found here:
https://github.com/mattock/tap-windows-scripts

It is supposed to remove all trace of TAP Windows drivers.

I can't remember what happened, but I checked Device Manager and the TAP driver is installed.
I consider this thread closed as I now have a working TAP driver.
