Server certificate expired. how to renew?

Post by upJohn » Sun Jan 16, 2011 12:05 pm

Hi
My server certificate expired just few days ago.
I forgot about that and just let that happen .. ;(
I have full access to the server. How can I extend the validity period without replacing files on the clients?
I cant access them remotely and they are physically far.
Thanks.

Hello,

All you need to do is create a new certificate for your server and replace the expired cert. There is no way to extend the validity period of an existing certificate.
