Pushing DNS to Windows clients

Post by wm_tech » Thu Apr 23, 2020 10:39 pm

We've deployed an OpenVPN Access Server and we are struggling to get domain suffixes to push to our Windows 10 Clients. Currently, we have it set to use the same DNS servers as the open access server. The server is pointed to our DNS servers on the LAN. We also have our DNS resolution Zone and DNS Suffix populated. Pinging via FQDN is working but this is not functioning by hostname. If you check the DNS settings on the TAP adapter you see 3 IPv6 addresses for the DNS server and no DNS suffixes assigned.

Not sure what I am missing here on the config and I am hoping someone else has already ran into this.

I have a ticket open with support, but their response time is pretty atrocious given this is a paid-for product.
