timeouts after loging in on OpenVPN

Post by jolan » Wed Dec 01, 2010 3:54 pm

hi all,

I've been using OpenVPN smoothly for a while now.
Since yesterday it seems to have trouble. Pinging to some domains end up in many timeouts
or very slow / big delays.

Pinging to the server where the VPN is running ( without being logged in on VPN)
or other domains without logging into the VPN is no trouble.

Can anyone tell me what things i have to check.
I think it should be the VPN server.
I did not install anything on the server besides some Centos updates.
The machine it self runs BIND DNS and VPN only. Which wasnt a problem so far...

Try using TCP instead of UDP in your OpenVPN settings (you need to apply the config both on the server side and on the client side)
