Connect to server before logging in on client

Post by stevebouffe » Sat Sep 25, 2010 10:02 pm

I have a server on a fixed ip. I have a client on a dynamic ip address.

The client is running windows xp with user and password login.

I can login on client and onnect to server no problems using OpenVPN GUI.

If the client gets restarted and no oe is there to logi and connect then i'm stuck.

Is it possible to connect to the server before logging in on the client?

if it is possible, it would be by having the windows service start on boot instead of running the app manually. I am not sure how windows works tho, if services start before login or not.

Yes, I went to the windows services manager and changed the status from manual to automatic and I can now reboot the computer and connect from remote site.

Thanks :D
