vpn is disconnected when iphone and android go into sleep mode.

Hello,

I am completely a newbie about OpenVpn.
I would like to know a plan or workaround for what disconnecting ssl vpn when iphone and android go into sleep.

As my understanding, OpenVPN for iPhone and Android is disconnected when mobile devices go into sleep mode.
But i want to keep the sslvpn connection even though mobile devices go into sleep mode.

Does anyone has idea?
if there is no workaround for this issue, does OpenVpn has any plan for supporting this issue for the future??

I believe this was the case initially, but this was changed to save battery life, as having the VPN connection always on will drain a lot of energy.
