OpenVPN core error X509

Post by rolosz » Tue Nov 10, 2015 12:29 pm

Hello,

I searched the forum and found similar problems like mine. But no one solved my problem.

My smartphone has Android: 5.1.1 and OpenVPN Connect 1.1.16 (build 74).

I have an Asus router with OpenVPN preinstalled. I exported the config.ovpn from the router and imported it into my OpenVPN client on my Android smartphone. The import of the config.ovpn was successfull.

Trying to connect with my smartphone/ OpenVPN client to my router an error occurs:

OpenVPN core error: PolarSSL: error parsing ca certificate: X509 - The CRT/CRL/CSR format is invalid, e.g. different type expected.

Anyone an idea what may be the cause of this error?

Thanks!

Problem solved with the Asus techsupport now. There was a router problem, new software update needed (because of no certificate export within the config file).

Anyway thanks that no expert of the OpenVPN forum dropped a line on my question!

You should contact the Asus support and describe your problem.
