Hello
System:
iPhone 6S with IOS 10.0.2, OpenVPN 1.0.7 build 199
Background:
I have several OpenVPN profiles on my phone, all following the naming convention "remote DNS name slash filename". By that, for "filename" I mean the name of the .OVPN file that I imported to the iPhone. Normally it's client.ovpn but I used the option of in-lining the certificate so I renamed mine to "clientcombined.ovpn".
So, I have several profiles, such as:
remote.MyCustomer1.com/clientCombined
remote.MyCustomer2.com/clientCombined
remote.MyCustomer3.com/clientCombined
I'd like to rename them, so I highlight the profile in the profiles list and rename it, repeating this for them all. Everything works great, the name sticks. I can even close the apps
Switch the phone off, back on, reopen OpenVPN and all is back to the old names again...
So....this may be a bug, hence the reason for writing this post. BUT is there a directive I put inside the client.ovpn file to give that profile a friendly name? It would overcome this bug.
Many thanks
Jim
