How-to using email

Post by linuxpro » Wed Jan 23, 2013 9:40 am

I like to distribute the .ovpn file and keys using email. When I open the attached .ovpn file my iphone suggest opening it with OpenVPN which is great. But the needed keys are not recoginized.

What am I doing wrong?

When using itunes and dropping all files into the proper area it all works but I don't have access to itunes all the time.

Are you using the "unified" config file format where certs and keys are specified inline within the .ovpn file? This is discussed in the Help FAQ.

Tnx! I tried to include the keys / certs into the ovpn file and it works now!

James- I have the same question, and it seems that linuxpro solved their problem using your suggestion. I've looked and searched the FAQ's...but I cannot seem to find a reference to a unified-config. Can you please link to the FAQ that specifically talks about the unified config file format.
Thanks!!
