Hi, yes I have loaded new .ovpn config on IOS8, no problems there. Might help if you tell what error you get? In iTunes: did you provide all files, ie ca, cert and key and ovpn and possibly ta? Or do you have it all included in the ovpn? Used a proper editor to paste it in: ie unix format?

I use the iTunes method, but noticed it doesn't work unless the openVPN app is open. Did you try it this way?

I've had the best luck using iFiles from the App store. Select the OVPN file then "OPEN IN" the OpenVpn app. You may have to zip up the .OVPN and PASS.TXT file and select instead.

did you get this fixed, I'm a newbee, got p1ssed off with the Chinese trying to hack my pptp connection so shifted to OpenVPN last night. It worked fine for me, have latest version of iTunes and have latest code on my iphone 5s. The only 'weird bit' was that once I'd sync'd my phone, the 'exchange files' window appears low down on the app tab of the iphone in iTunes, but apart from that it was seemless (once I'd had associated a user account with the VPN on my qnap ts-269 pro). I've also set up logging on my cisco switch (ACL) to check if the Chinese try to start hacking me again.
cheers Adrian
