Hello,
I wanted to find out if there was a way to install openvpn onto a router like Netgear Nighthawk R7000. You are able to download the client but to get vpn you click the vpn button, download the client, then download Netgear files for the client and the port setup is filled out and a selection of roaming home network, vpn, or, auto. And that is it for settings. I wanted to see if there was a version of Openvpn that could be installed where you can load your certs,.conf files, and other files needed to setup Openvpn on the router itself.
I have talked to Netgear and they verified it had a ssh server built in but having Openvpn on the router would be much more convenient and secure. Can it be done.(I have no skills as a programmer is why I am asking).any suggestions?
