Client IP addresses changing

I've got a Ubquiti router as OpenVPN server and some remote Linux and BSD machines running the client and connecting over the internet. The router assign the client's IP addresses and they change periodically. I really need machine 'a' to keep the same IP address over the VPN so that backup software and DNS will work. Is there a simple way to force the machines to always get the same IP addresses? I used to use a MikroTik router running OpenVPN and IP addresses were constant. However the OpenVPN configurations are really different.

I'm sure some guru out there can fix this with one or two magical config file lines. Please help!
