Hi,
I've been using the OpenVPN Connect client for IOS for some time without problems. It always been working fine but recently I realized that in an iPad mini, once I’m successfully connected to the VPN the icon [vpn] is not showed as is used to be.
I believe that this started happening in IOS 7.1.1.
Affected device:
iPad Mini 1st Generation with GSM/LTE
Current IOS: 7.1.2
The connection is established as I can see the traffic coming through my VPN GW but it was much better before when the [vpn] icon was displayed in the top left corner of the screen.
Is there a solution for this?
Regards
Jofre

Re: VPN Connection icon not displayed in iPad - [SOLVED]
After some more troubleshooting I managed to solve it.
Steps:
- Turn off the iPad
- Extract the SIM card
- Turn on the iPad
Test the connection and you should now see the [vpn] icon once connected.
- Insert the SIM back
It was very strange because restarting was not enough I had to remove and add the SIM again
