First setup of OpneVpn

Hi all,
This is my first time installing OpenVpn VMware appliance on our vcenter cluster.
It was pretty easy to setup so long the appliance reside within our LAN and published via our FW with public IP.

I tried moving the VM to DMZ and changed the IP to static within our DMZ IP range.
Created the FW rules to have access to our internal LAN from the appliance in the DMZ ,I have ping to the internal machines I want to connect to and published the appliance.

I can establish VPN but it is very slow and sometimes not connecting.
In addition I'm unable to connect to the internal resources of our LAN (PBX) even tough i'm connected with the vpn client.

When I return the appliance to the LAN from DMZ, change the address to the lan address all is working fine.

I would appreciate any help on setting up th appliance in DMZ as I don't want to have the VPN server published from our LAN.
