Won't connect if Password SAVE is toggled

Hi,

I'm happily using openVPN on my iPhone 5 with config files for privateinternetaccess.com. Works perfectly with any of three or four of their servers.

However, the same files installed on my iPad 3 will only connect if I do NOT have the save password toggle on. If the toggle is on then the username/password fields are erased as soon as you slide the connection toggle and no connection is attempted. If the SAVE toggle is turned off the connection is made but once you disconnect, the fields are empty again as you might expect.

I've read of this sort of thing happening on the 64 bit iPhone 5S both both my devices are running the latest openVPN and the current IOS7 and both are 32 bit cpu's as far as I know.

Anybody got any suggestions to resolve this?
