2 openvpn icons in the status bar
I added a value in the registry on my windows xp machine to connect to client 1 automatically. it works as it should, but now I have 2 openvpn icons in the status bar. how do I remove the one that is not needed?

Connect to a client or a server?
Do you have it connect automatically on startup? If so, perhaps using the openvpnservice is a better option (set to automatic) than using the openvpn gui tray icon.

actually I just solved the problem, there were 2 entries in the registry, one that is placed when installing, and the other that I put in there, so I removed one of the entries in the registry.
