Problems installing TAP driver (Fix, Solve, PeerBlock)

Post by Monkey » Fri Aug 23, 2013 1:47 pm

For those who are notified an error occurred installing the TAP device driver, try disabling PeerBlock if you use it.

When connecting to my VPN via Window's own PPTP service, several of PeerBlock's blocklists block the IP ranges of my VPN and allowing them will sort it. It may be that the same issue and sollution apply to OpenVPN. Whatever the case may be, I was able to install the TAP driver once PeerBlock was disabled.
