Can't ping other IP from OpenVPN server LAN

Post by maniek » Fri Jul 26, 2013 7:18 pm

Hi
At first egzample config

Comp0 in Lan0 - openvpn client:
eth0 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
tun0 10.8.0.6

Comp1 in Lan1 - openvpn server:
eth0 172.20.23.2
tun0 10.8.0.1

Comp2 in Lan1:
eth0 172.20.23.3

And now:
1. if I ping 10.8.0.1 from my Comp0 it's working.
2. if I ping 172.20.23.2 from my Comp0 it's also working.
3. if I ping 172.20.23.3 from my Comp1 it's also working.
4. if I ping 172.20.23.3 from my Comp0 it's not working.

Why I can't ping Comp2 from Comp0, and what I must do, to can ping Comp2 from Comp0?

Can anyone help?

post your server/client configs first.

you must enable ip forwarding on your server,
allow traffic if you have firewall enabled
push a route for your lan to your clients
and configure routing to your server side so your pcs inside
your lan will route packets for vpn subnet to the right place.
