Hi All,
I am new to openvpn and am stuck. I have a vm server behind a public IP that is NAT to a private address. The server itself has only the private address 192.168.1.71. The router forwards the ports I am using for the VPN.
I can connect locally on my LAN without problem. I can reach the Web Interface from the Internet, but when I try to use the profile it's tries using the 192.168.1.71 address. I want to connect to my domain for the profile information and have it connect via the external address.
I hope I have not confused you all, my area of expertise is not networks, but databases.
I assume there is something I can change in the client profile to connect to my domain name instead of the private address?
Regards,
J

Re: Server with no public IP behind NAT question
Hi All,
I figured it out.. I saw where I just had to enter the host name in the opvn-init. Helps to READ..
Thanks anyway.
