server refused on port..., TLS error
Hi there, I live in Iran and we are in the middle of the worst filtering, I have a windows 2008 R2 server out of iran after I install vmware and openvpn appliance ver 1.8.4 on it I could to connect to it on tcp port 80 that is trusted not filtered port ,iphone and ipad could connect to the server and it works perfect but in windows case it did't work , and on verb 9 the log shows server refused the connection and the problem is with TLS , if anyone help me out I want to teach it to others here to fight with this teribble filtering here, thanks and best wishes

Re: server refused on port..., TLS error
sending PMs certainly won't help in attracting attention ...
as for your problem: the iOS client is based on different source code than the "regular" openvpn client; I've seen other reports of users who state that the "regular " client is blocked by their ISP/country but the iOS client is not. This is an interesting research question (how do the clients differ when talking to the same server using the same protocol?) but unfortunately is not going to be solved in the near future.
I've forwarded this topic to the developers, perhaps they can shed some light on this.
So , for now, you're out of luck, unless somebody comes up with a Windows/Linux client based on the same source code as the iOS client (which *IS* open source, BTW).

Re: server refused on port..., TLS error
thank you so much to response, I have many friends here looking for this solution to use appliances with licensed users, your developers could solve filtering problems for long time with this improvement

Re: server refused on port..., TLS error
I'd use 'stunnel' to work around this, read http://my.hostvpn.com/knowledgebase/31/ ... ows-7.html for a nice tutorial on how to do this on Windows; Linux/Mac tutorials are also available
