help to edit a post

I urgently need to edit a post I made recently. There is no edit button visible for the post, so yesterday I reported my own post to ask a mod to edit on my behalf.

I have not had any response so far, so today I tried to PM the admin to request help. I clicked send on the PM but it is now sitting in my outbox rather than in my sent messages, and I can see no way to do anything further with it. Does this mean that my PM has been sent, or is it stuck in limbo for some reason?
